Music does exist with entertaining and performance. People enjoy music because they like performing and making people happy and every piece of music. Today i will be talking about Blues and EDM comparing.I have chosen to look at these two styles of music because, they are very contrasting. Blues is an older style of music, whereas, EDM is today’s mainstream music.
What is Blues? Blues is a type of music that people used to listen in the early in 1800s time. What is EDM? EDM means Electronic Dance Music and everyone used dance on these type of music.
Between 1916 and 1970, millions of Black Southerners left the South to move to northern cities in a process known as the Great Migration. These travelers sought out better jobs and living conditions in the North, where urban industries were growing and there was less segregation. Blues lyrics are about emotions, dwelling on love and loneliness. they live longing for a better life. they use slang i . their music piece. An example of Blues lyrics is Hoochie Coochie Man. This song is about a man who was born as a child and wants to be rich.
Blues artists who influenced today’s music: the artist name is Muddy Waters. Muddy grew up picking cotton on a plantation outside of Clarksdale and selling moonshine (illegal alcohol) for extra cash. In 1958, Muddy traveled to England with the American Folk Blues Music Festival and grew in popularity. “Hoochie Coochie Man” silliness takes us right back to the roots of the genre: the old Mississippi Delta, the watery hot days, and the resistance traditions, musical and spiritual, of generations of African Americans surviving slavery and persecution. This song is in the Chicago blues style. And there are a few elements that became key to the style and remain prominent in blues today.
Blues instrumentation is often a mix of Drums, Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Harmonica, and later brass instruments such as Horns and Trumpets. In the music of Hoochie Coochie, there is the use of a strong harmonica playing lead, an electric guitar, a piano, and a simple rhythm section held down by a bass and a drum kit. This five-piece line-up would become a classic blues line-up.

EDM known as (electric dance music) has been evolved over the following years and mainstream music in the early 2000’s. The artists who created music that considers them as dance hit classics. EDM has become less Skrillex and Afrojack generic style of music ad expressing their new ways of music with new sounds. The blues grew up in the Mississippi Delta just upriver from New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz. During the middle of late 1800s the Deep South was home to hundreds of seminal bluesmen who helped to shape the music. You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
